Breaking News FOOTBALL – Coventry City’s season ends with a home defeat over Queens Park Rangers.

COVENTRY City’s season concluded with a devastating 2-1 home defeat to Queens Park Rangers, as the club bid farewell to captain Liam Kelly.

Kelly will quit the Sky Blues at the end of the season, having guided City ascend from League Two to the brink of the Premier League during his seven-year tenure.

Kelly, however, leaves the club on a losing note after Jamie Allen scored a late consolation goal at the Coventry Building Society Arena, following first-half goals from Ilias Chair and Morgan Fox.

The Sky Blues’ final-day defeat ensures them finish ninth in the Championship, nine points from the play-offs.

And Rangers doubled their lead seven minutes later as Fox bundled home Lucas Andersen’s free-kick from close range with Collins unable to keep the ball out.
