After their terrible performance at Ibrox last week, Rangers got back to winning ways by thumping Nice 4-1 away from home in the Europa League.
The Gers recorded a historic victory away from Ibrox on Thursday night thanks to two goals and another assist from Hamza Igamane.
The media showered the 22-year-old Rangers striker with accolades for his outstanding performance.
He received a 9 out of 10 rating from the Daily Record. After Igamane scored the fourth goal for the Scottish powerhouses, former Gers striker Steven Thompson was gushing over him.
At the back, Nice was startling, and Igamane was fast to capitalise on the errors. Thompson called the goal a “wonderful” finish and commended Igamane for displaying “unbelievable” poise.
But he was astounded by how impoverished Nice were in the rear. Igamane hit the ball coolly into the bottom-right corner after Pablo Rosario gave it to him directly.
According to BBC Sport, he stated “Igamane deserves a lot of praise he was incredibly accurate and composed.
A fantastic conclusion but the defence, my gosh i don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a team give up four goals worse than this.
