An independent regulatory board on Monday morning suspended Bentancur for seven games and fined him £100,000 for using a racial slur in his remarks to a Uruguayan reporter about Spurs captain Son Heung-min.

Tottenham has a certain period of time to determine whether or not to appeal the ruling.
