The first Tottenham player to speak on Rodrigo Bentancur’s seven-game suspension for his remarks about Son Heung-min is Ben Davies.
An independent regulatory board on Monday morning suspended Bentancur for seven games and fined him £100,000 for using a racial slur in his remarks to a Uruguayan reporter about Spurs captain Son Heung-min.
Tottenham has a certain period of time to determine whether or not to appeal the ruling.
Before he can play again on Boxing Day, the 27-year-old will now miss six Premier League games and the Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Manchester United.
