Jody Morris, the former first team coach and assistant to Frank Lampard, believes the former Chelsea and England star could “do a job” at Coventry City if given the chance to succeed fired manager Mark Robins. He would be willing to join him at the CBS Arena.
Chris Jones, a first team coach at Pride Park who had previously served as Chelsea’s first team fitness coach, and Morris were Lampard’s number two at Derby County.
It is known that the two spent the majority of their coaching careers with the Rams, whom Lampard guided to the 2019 Championship play-off final before losing to Aston Villa.
When asked if he believes Lampard might work for Coventry on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan mid-morning show, Morris, 45, responded, “Yeah, I do.”
I believe he is a manager or coach who aspires to help players get better after working with him I firmly believe he can go there and work for Coventry because I believe he is a thinking manager as well.
