RIGHT IN THE Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is ready to test his ailing ankle and is not limited…

Kansas City, Missouri As the Kansas City Chiefs started getting ready for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium, Patrick Mahomes expressed his excitement about testing his damaged ankle.

“It gets a little sore when you have a little roll,” Mahomes remarked But I can move around, and I’m excited to go out and practise and see how I can improve over the course of the week The Chiefs would not restrict Mahomes during practice, according to coach Andy Reid.

In a Week 8 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes first hurt his ankle. During Monday night’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made the injury worse by suddenly pulling up from what began as a scramble to toss to running back Samaje Perine for a touchdown.

After the play, Mahomes was assisted off the ground and given a quick examination on the sidelines before playing the Chiefs’ next drive without missing a snap.

He said the Chiefs’ short workweek made it difficult for him to get ready to play against the Broncos. “There’s only so much you can do,” Mahomes stated.

It is quite late [after the game on Monday night], but after the game, you can grab various items in the training room to wear at home, including items that can be used overnight to help with swelling and other things.

“You arrived early [Tuesday], and yesterday was a long day of watching films, receiving treatment, and doing some rehab-related tasks in order to get ready for a short week and a practice [Wednesday].”
