Brendan Rodgers won’t likely surprise anyone with his Celtic starting lineup tonight, in my opinion. I would be surprised if Brendan made any changes following Saturday’s crushing of Aberdeen, fitness allowing.
Although RB Leipzig will present Aberdeen with a completely different and more formidable task, the players’ performance and the confidence they would have gained from Saturday’s win should be sufficient to guarantee that the same starting lineup plays tonight.
It might have come as a shock to leave Liam Scales out on Saturday, but Auston Trusty appeared confident and at ease beside Cameron Carter-Vickers.
It’s possible that Brendan’s favourite centre back combination will begin. Brendan mentions that Trusty is faster than Scales, which is important at this level.
