Louie Barry has settled in at Stockport County under Dave Challinor following stints in the lower divisions of English football.
When the 21-year-old became the first English player to join La Masia in July 2019, he left West Bromwich Albion for Barcelona, launching him into the spotlight as a youngster.
Given his potential as a teenager, Barry had previously come close to signing with Paris Saint-Germain.
Six months after departing for Spain, he came back to England at the age of sixteen to join with Aston Villa, the team he had grown up with.
The forward’s return to the West Midlands was largely due to Mark Harrison, the academy manager at Villa, who had been employed at West Brom when Barry was rising through the ranks.
