As she adjusts to the new path country music is taking, Shania Twain is embracing the genre’s transformation. At the People’s Choice Country Awards, Twain talked to Fox News Digital about how he felt “privileged” to be a part of the new age that country music is entering. “I have the honour of contributing to the direction that the new nation is taking. “I don’t want to refer to it as new country, but rather the direction that country music is taking,” the speaker stated.
Twain hosted the country award presentation on Sept. 26 and told Fox News Digital before the show began that she was “excited” to meet some of the new musicians. According to Shaina Teague, her body insecurities “really tortured” her, and her nude appearance “changed everything.” With over 100 million records sold, Twain,59, is among the musicians with the highest record sales. She holds the record for most sales of any female country music singer. In fact, Twain has been dubbed the “Queen of Country Pop.” “I have the honour of contributing to the direction that the new nation is taking. The development of country music and its future direction, rather than the term “new country.”
