This year, Kelley O’Hara and Alex Morgan both declared their retirements; O’Hara had already played her farewell game prior to being placed on the season-ending injury list by Gotham FC last week. After announcing her pregnancy and retirement at the same time earlier this month, Morgan has also played her last match in professional tennis.
