Following the public accusations of sexual assault made by scores of women, the former movie mogul was charged in both New York and California. Weinstein was found guilty by a jury in the Los Angeles case in 2022 of raping and sexually abusing one of the four women he was accused of abusing. Three counts of guilty were brought against an Italian actor and model who claimed that in 2013, while attending a film festival in Los Angeles, Weinstein paid an unexpected visit to her hotel room.
