Hibernian FC Suffers Blow as Jordan Obita Ruled Out for the Season

Edinburgh, Scotland – Hibernian FC has been dealt a devastating injury blow with the news that their star left-back, Jordan Obita, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Obita, who was named the club’s Player of the Year for the 2023/24 campaign, suffered a serious hamstring injury during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen. After undergoing scans and consulting with medical specialists, it was confirmed that he will require surgery and a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

The 28-year-old has been a key player for Hibernian FC, providing defensive solidity and attacking flair down the left flank. His absence will be deeply felt by the team, who are currently challenging for a top-six finish in the Scottish Premiership.

“Jordan is a huge loss for us,” said Hibernian FC manager, Lee Johnson. “He’s been outstanding this season and his injury is a significant blow. We’ll miss his quality and experience, but we have a strong squad and we’ll work together to overcome this setback.”

Obita’s injury is a cruel blow for the player, who has been in excellent form this season. He will undergo surgery in the coming days and is expected to be out for at least six months.

Hibernian FC wishes Jordan Obita a speedy recovery and looks forward to his return next season.
