Far from the racecourse, Lewis Hamilton is having a great time during his summer vacation. Instead, for the second consecutive summer holiday, the seven-time world champion has been travelling around Africa. Before the second half of the season starts, the 105-time Grand Prix winner claims on Instagram that the trip has helped him feel more “at peace” and “re-centered.” Hamilton has updated his fans about his travels once more. He recently travelled to Senegal, which he says is a place he “can’t recommend enough.” Hamilton tells of his journey to Goree Island, which was one of the major slave trading sites on the African coast, if not the biggest. Though “heavy,” he said the visit was “important” to “honour the people we come from.” The British will undoubtedly keep posting pictures.
