Brad Gushue ruined Saskatchewan’s celebration in the Montana Brier in 2024. At the Brandt Centre on Sunday, the two-time reigning champion defeated Mike McEwen of Saskatchewan 9–5 to capture his sixth Canadian men’s curling title. McEwen remarked, “It hurts we didn’t have our best game.” “The conditions were difficult, and it seemed like both teams were having trouble with the ice.” Brad, however, excelled during the first four ends. He got the first four ends exactly right. “Unfortunately, he is the reigning champion and will be difficult to stop on Sunday night even if we defeated him (last) Saturday night. With everything we accomplished in six months, we have much to be proud of. We’re not done yet, and we have a fantastic crew.
