Celtic’s interest in Dundee’s… Luke McCowan is one that has been grabbing the headlines this week.

The Dens Park midfielder is reportedly being considered for a bid by Brendan Rodgers. Hibs’ attempt to get the 26-year-old for £750,000 was rejected this week, therefore it’s estimated that the cost to sign him might reach £1 million. Mark Wilson stated that Rodgers should only go after McCowan if the player can accomplish one thing for the Hoops manager, given that Celtic has already signed Paulo Bernardo for the upcoming season. McCowan needs to advance Celtic to a higher level. When asked if McCowan would help the Hoops’ first team, Wilson gave a direct response. The former Celtic defender was extremely frank about what he thought of McCowan’s abilities. Wilson said, “No, I don’t,” to Superscoreboard. The boy is a skilled athlete.
