One curling rink will soon be returning home as the 2024 Brier winners, having won the Canadian men’s division. This weekend marks the start of the annual tournament, now officially known as Montana’s Brier. Eighteen of the best curling teams in Canada are gathering in Saskatchewan to compete for the sport’s most famous title. At the top of the podium, in addition to a sizeable monetary award, there’s a ticket to the World Men’s Curling Championship. Brad Gushue and his team are the defending champions going into the 2024 Brier. In the 2023 tournament, the St. John’s crew triumphed over Team Manitoba and Matt Dunstone.
