Kasper Schmeichel is on his way to meet his new Celtic teammates in the USA after passing his medical. The Denmark No1 successfully underwent a medical examination in Italy yesterday and is poised to sign a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months. Schmeichel, 37, will now make his way to Washington to be reunited with Brendan Rodgers after the pair worked together at Leicester City. And the free agent could even be officially paraded as the Parkhead club’s replacement for Joe Hart today. Schmeichel will team up with fellow new keeper Viljami Sinisalo, who sealed his £1million switch from Aston Villa on Tuesday.
