Just In: Lionel Messi now gives his opinion on whether Neymar will join Inter Miami this summer.

The Brazilian star has been connected with a move to the Florida franchise for some time, but Neymar is presently on the books at Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, where he has spent the majority of his time on the sidelines due to an ACL injury.

While the former PSG and FC Barcelona star has conceded that a move to Inter Miami is doubtful, many are speculating that Neymar could one day reunite with Messi in MLS at Chase Stadium.

The Argentine legend has already voiced his opinion on whether Neymar will join Inter Miami.

Speaking to Infobae, the Inter Miami captain acknowledged that he does not envision Neymar joining the club, with Messi stressing that his former comrade must first fulfill his contract in Saudi Arabia before considering MLS.

Given Neymar’s lack of action in 2024 and how much the winger relocated to the Middle East last summer, it’s understandable that Messi believes now isn’t the appropriate time for his old teammate to join Inter Miami, much to the dismay of fans.

When asked if he believes Neymar would join Inter Miami this summer, Messi answered, “No, I’m not sure. The truth is that it is currently difficult; he is in Saudi Arabia, and I believe he has one year remaining on his contract.

“He has had a rough year, having been injured for a long period, which forced him to miss the Copa America, where he was unable to play most of the matches in Saudi Arabia. After that, I’m not sure; the truth is that life has so many twists and turns that anything can happen, but I don’t believe so today.”
