Caitlin Clark Admits Needing to Get Away From Basketball After Ninth WNBA Loss

Compared to other teams, they have played the most games thus far, both home and away. And it culminated over the weekend when they faced the Chicago Sky and the New York Liberty in back-to-back games. It was obvious that Caitlin Clark, a rookie with the Indiana Fever, could use a vacation from the nonstop activity after she only managed to score three points against the Liberty on Sunday.

And she admitted to this when the Fever returned to practice on Wednesday, prior to their upcoming game against the Washington Mystics on Friday.

During per practice media session on Wednesday, Clark was asked when she had prioritized over the past few days while the Fever weren’t playing games.

“I think honestly just getting away from basketball a little bit,” she said. “And, you know, getting some sleep, getting some rest, and taking care of my body.”

Clark also discussed going out to dinner with her teammates, which was a great chemistry builder.

We’ll see whether stepping away from basketball will benefit Clark and the Fever on Saturday.
