BREAKING: According to an Inter Miami star, Sergio Busquets did something funny while watching Real Madrid win the Champions League final.

Julian Gressel of Inter Miami has said that Sergio Busquets did something humorous while watching Real Madrid win the UEFA Champions League final.

Los Blancos triumphed once more in the biggest game in European soccer, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley Stadium, much to the dismay of Inter Miami’s best players.

With Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and the aforementioned Busquets all playing for the Herons, Inter Miami has a strong FC Barcelona core, despite its well-known rivalry with Madrid.

Gressel also revealed how Busquets responded when Madrid went up 2-0 against Dortmund.

Gressel said on the Player/Manager podcast that Busquets turned off the TV when Inter Miami players were watching the match, which Madrid led 2-0.

With Busquets a La Masia graduate and a Barcelona legend, it’s understandable that the former Camp Nou captain was more than eager to witness his bitter rivals win yet another European crown.

And for his Inter Miami teammates, seeing Busquets appear upset in the locker room would have been quite an experience, given the 35-year-old’s quiet and serene attitude.

Gressel said: “I didn’t see the last five or ten minutes because by that time we had been in the locker room before our pre-match, so a few of us were watching it and then Sergio Busquets walks in and just turns off the TV, he just shut it off and we were like ‘okay, that’s it then, time to worry about our game.’”

Busquets, who spent his whole career with Barcelona before relocating to Florida, was understandably irritated by Madrid’s Champions League victory.

The Catalan giants haven’t won the Champions League in nine years, and Busquets has only won it three times in his career, compared to Madrid’s 15.
