Crystal Palace is pursuing a Leeds talent as Manchester United plans a Michael Olise transfer.
Oliver Glasner’s ambitious Selhurst Park project would suffer a significant setback if Crystal Palace were to lose star players Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze during the forthcoming transfer window. For this reason, the club has made backup plans.
Glasner is well aware his stars will be the subject of interest, saying in May: “I hope all the players will be here. I know the club will do everything to ensure they will play for Crystal Palace next season. I think what we can show from the sports department is that we are ambitious and they can benefit and make a big contribution to being successful. That is what we can offer them, the rest we will see.
“I can’t keep doing the same thing and getting results like that, so we need to look at it. It’s not a crisis and we won’t rip everything up and start again, but we need to adjust to the group we now have.”
