Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has shot down suggestions that Benjamin Sesko has already decided to join Arsenal this summer.
On the last day of the season, the Gunners lost the title fight to Manchester City, who won the Premier League for the fourth time in a row after defeating West Ham 3-1.
However, Mikel Arteta’s team is moving closer and closer to winning the title, with many commentators believing that next year can be their year if Arsenal reinforce in the appropriate areas over the summer.
Throughout the season, past Arsenal players and analysts have urged the club to sign a prolific striker in order to secure the title.
There are significant suggestions that Arsenal may want to buy that goalscorer in the summer, with RB Leipzig striker Sesko and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen being two of their top targets.
Rumours have circulated that Sesko has’said yes’ to Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window, but transfer specialist Romano maintains the Gunners’ administration is still “considering all the options.”
On his YouTube channel, Romano stated, “Every day at Arsenal, we have a different rumour. It’s ‘Sesko is done’ one day, ‘Osimhen is coming’ the next, ‘Gyokeres, this, that.'”
“Let Arsenal function. They are discussing the striker internally, taking into account all of their alternatives, and will decide what to do based on money. Arsenal does not want to spend a lot of money on the striker; instead, they want to spend wisely.
