Did Arnaut Danjuma gives message to Everton fans following Goodison Park decision

Danjuma joined Everton on a season-long loan last summer, six months after the Toffees were outbid by Tottenham.

However, the Dutchman did not have the impact many had predicted, and a return to Villarreal was always possible.

Danjuma wrote on his Instagram page [21 May]: “To the amazing Everton fans, thank you for the fantastic moments and steadfast support.

“It has been a privilege to wear the blue jersey. Forever in my heart, Arnaut Danjuma.”

Danjuma’s loan spell never really took off. The winger did score in two consecutive games early in the season, but that was about it.

Danjuma has not scored for the Toffees since his goal against Sheffield United on September 2.

However, he only appeared for the club 15 more times, the last of which was a goalless draw against Fulham on January 30.

It is possible that Danjuma’s desire to make a move during the January transfer window coincided with his inability to play again.

Even if Everton had the opportunity to sign the 27-year-old for a low amount this summer, you would expect Sean Dyche to decline.

Danjuma’s future at Villarreal remains to be known, although his absence next season will have no impact at Everton.
