Just thinking that Philippe Clement has no justification if Rangers XI is missing the ONLY player capable of harming Celtic. – Kenneth Miller

He has been left kicking his heels for the previous two Old Firm games.

But I’m confident that will not be the case at Hampden on Saturday. Todd Cantwell, in my opinion, HAS to start Rangers’ Scottish Cup Final against Celtic. It’s a must for Philippe Clement, especially considering how prior derbies have gone. Cantwell did not even make it off the bench at Parkhead last weekend as the Rangers’ 10-man squad virtually lost the league.

And I understand why the manager hasn’t chosen him for certain games. However, there are no excuses this time. In a one-off cup final that Rangers must win, Cantwell must be given a chance to shine. Because he hasn’t had that opportunity yet against Celtic.

I think he’ll start at Hampden. I truly believe he is the only forward in Clement’s squad capable of causing problems for Brendan Rodgers’ side. It’s difficult to rate Cantwell’s tenure at Ibrox thus far. Personally, I think he’s an excellent player. He can get past people, see passes, and has an eye for goal.

Remember that he has already scored in an Old Firm encounter. But there is another side to it. Todd appears to be continually projecting an image of himself, even when there is no need to. He only needs to let his football speak for itself because he is good enough.

He dominated the second half against Dundee on Tuesday night. It was similar to his performance in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts, when he set up Cyriel Dessers’ two goals.

However, when he speaks after an amazing performance, I hear him talking about the criticism he’s received and proving people wrong. Todd, I apologize, but you are at Rangers.
