Just In On Burnley, who were just relegated, may consider Coventry City boss Mark Robins if they need to replace Vincent Kompany.

Following a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, the Clarets were demoted to the second level, just one year after being promoted with 101 points.

Questions have been raised about Kompany’s future at the club, and it has been stated that Burnley is already looking into options.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Coventry manager Robins has been named to Burnley’s shortlist to succeed Kompany.

Ashley Cole, a former Chelsea fullback, would serve as his assistant manager.

Robins has been Coventry City’s manager since 2017 and led the team to the Championship playoff final last year, where they were defeated by Luton Town.

This season, he also led his club to the FA Cup semi-finals, when they pushed Manchester United to the limit.

It is now unclear what conclusion Burnley’s decision-makers will make regarding the managerial post at the end of the season.

Robins, however, is on their mind in case they need to act.
