Breaking News; Atlanta Braves projected pitchers and starting lineups versus Chicago Cubs, May 15

The Atlanta Braves will attempt an amazing feat today, seeking their third consecutive shutout against the Chicago Cubs. As you might expect, Atlanta’s pitching has been outstanding this series, and last night’s performance was highlighted by the best start we’ve seen from Chris Sale in a Braves uniform.

The return of Atlanta’s offense’s long ball may have been the finest thing to come out of yesterday night’s 7-0 victory. Matt Olson broke his streak of bad luck with a three-run homer, while Michael Harris II blasted his first home run in a long time to help the Atlanta attack.

Charlie Morton (3-0, 3.14 ERA) will have a tough act to follow after the dominating performances of Reynaldo Lopez and Chris Sale. Charlie, on the other hand, has performed admirably this season on his own. His last start against the Mets saw him pitch seven innings of one-run ball. Hopefully, there will be more of it.

Charlie Morton (3-0, 3.14 ERA) will have a tough act to follow after Reynaldo Lopez and Chris Sale’s dominant efforts. Charlie, on the other hand, has excelled this season on his own. In his most recent start against the Mets, he went seven innings and allowed only one run. I hope there will be more of it.
