Breaking News; Rangers star Clement has the ideal justification to release Lundstram (8/10).

In the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night, Glasgow Rangers defeated Dundee 5-2 in their final game at Ibrox for the 2023–24 season.

The Gers’ night was far from smooth, though, as they fell behind the opposition 2-0 in the opening forty minutes of play.

Just before the half, Ross McCausland scored, poking the ball into the net following a defensive blunder, giving the Light Blues a chance to even the score in the second half.

The hosts ended up with all three points thanks to goals from Scott Wright late in the game, a header from Cyriel Dessers, and a spectacular finish into the top corner from a direct cross from Todd Cantwell.

For the game, Philippe Clement was missing an incredible eleven players: Connor Goldson, Dujon Sterling, Danilo, Oscar Cortes, Bailey Rice, Rabbi Matondo, John Lundstram, John Souttar, and Abdallah Sima.

But the other players rose to the occasion, and one of them has just demonstrated that the team can survive without Lundstram.

In advance of the forthcoming summer transfer window, the English maestro, whose contract expires at the end of May, is expected to leave Ibrox on a free transfer.

Although it had been reported that the former Sheffield United player was in talks with the club to prolong his stay in Glasgow, he has not yet signed a new contract.

Now that other teams are showing interest in him, he might opt to take the risk of leaving the Scottish powerhouses this summer in order to pursue other opportunities.

The Scottish Daily Mail print edition, via Ibrox News, has revealed that Turkish team Trabzonspor is interested in acquiring the central midfielder at the end of the current campaign in order to increase their alternatives in the middle of the park.
