Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has stood by the club’s provocative statement which suggested the PGMOL had appointed a biased official to oversee one of their matches. Forest released a staggering statement in the wake of their 2-0 defeat by Everton in the Premier League on April 21. The away side had three penalty appeals waved away by referee Anthony Taylor at Goodison Park, with VAR Stuart Attwell agreeing with his colleague. The defeat left Forest in 17th place, one point above Luton, with four matches left to play. Forest caused a major splash when they publicly called out the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, claiming they had warned the refereeing body that Attwell was a Luton supporter and therefore wasn’t suitable to work on
