The Scottish Premiership heavyweights Rangers may have said goodbye to nearly the whole backbone of that championship-winning squad under Steven Gerrard by the time Philippe Clement takes the field for the first time in 2024–2025.

Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent, Filip Helander, and Alfredo Morelos Not only did Glen Kamara and Allan McGregor depart last year, but Joe Aribo and Steven Davis are also no longer.

Reports claim that Gerrard wants to get back together with his former Rangers lieutenants in Saudi Arabia, which has led to increased conjecture this summer around James Tavernier and Connor Goldson. Ryan Jack’s contract is also about to expire, but there has been no word on a renewal.

Then there are John Lundstram and Borna Barisic. A couple who might share a dressing room the following season, albeit away from Glasgow.

Six years after joining Clement’s team for £2 million from NK Osijek, Barisic is among the team member with the longest tenure. However, following Christmas, he lost his spot in Scottish Sun while Rangers continued their search for a younger player.

On the other hand, Lundstram continues to play a crucial role in Clement’s schemes. However, it has been reported that he has started negotiations with Super Lig giants Trabzonspor (Scottish Sun) over a transfer that might see him follow Barisic to Turkey.

Ertugrul Dogan, the president of Trabzonspor, stated a few days ago that there would be an imminent move regarding many possible arrivals. Speaking once more, Dogan asserts that the Black Sea team has achieved the “completion stage” with three of their transfer targets after a week has passed.

We’ve completed three transactions. Dogan informs A Spor that “one more transfer is about to end.” “Three of our transfers have already reached the completion stage.”

The “three transfers” that Dogan is alluding to, according to Haber61, are Barisic, Lundstram

, and Denis Dragus, the striker owned by Standard Liege who has made an impression in Turkey while on loan at Gazientep this season.
