The Steelmen manager was furious with officials at full-time after Jack Vale was sent off for catching Jack MacKenzie with a high boot in the midriff in the second half of Aberdeen’s 1-0 victory.

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell chastised referee Craig Napier for his “derogatory” attitude toward his players and refusal to discuss what he saw as a “laughable” red card for Jack Vale in a 1-0 loss to Aberdeen.

Motherwell plan to appeal Vale’s dismissal for kicking Jack MacKenzie in the midsection while intercepting a diagonal pass in the air.

Aberdeen almost immediately took advantage of their numerical advantage, with Stefan Gartenmann heading home from a 60th-minute corner after the Danish defender appeared to kick the ball behind him.
