Peter Leven has dismissed any speculation about a move to Barnsley, insisting his emphasis is on Aberdeen and that he looks forward to helping Jimmy Thelin next season.
Record Sport reported earlier this week that the former Kilmarnock, Dynamo Brest, and Orenburg number two is one of the top candidates to replace Neil Collins, who was fired on Monday, at Oakwell.
Interest in Leven comes just days after it was reported that he will remain at Pittodrie as a coach under the direction of the new Swede Thelin.

Barnsley are confident that a win over Northampton on the final day of the regular League One season on Saturday will be enough to secure a place in the playoffs.
However, Leven, who guided the Reds to the edge of the Scottish Cup final with a penalty shootout loss to Celtic last Sunday, has moved to put an end to any speculation about a move away from Pittodrie, reports the Daily Record.
The 40-year-old also stated that he is delighted to be part of new manager Thelin’s plans for the upcoming season.
