George Dobson, the captain of Charlton Athletic, is scheduled to join Hungarian top flight team Fehérvár FC this summer

Jones and Coventry want Dobson to stay at Charlton, mirroring fans’ wishes for the midfielder to stay.

Dobson has been an important player, with Jones expressing his want to keep him and fans calling for him to stay.

However, keeping Dobson may be difficult because Fehérvár is waiting for him, and he may want to pursue European football.

Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones and midfielder Conor Coventry have both echoed fans’ views that George Dobson should remain at the club.

Dobson, who joined The Valley on a free transfer from Sunderland in the summer of 2021, is scheduled to make his farewell game for the club on Saturday against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park. The 26-year-old midfielder committed to a pre-contract with Hungarian side.
