Motherwell striker Theo Bair wants to score as many goals as possible in order to make Canada’s Copa America squad this summer, which could bode trouble for Aberdeen on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was called up for the critical qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago last month, which qualified Canada for the tournament in America, which runs from June 20 to July 14. It was his first appearance in four years.

Bair is keen to play not just in the tournament, which begins on June 20 against World Cup champions Argentina, followed by Peru on June 25 and Chile four days later, but also in friendlies against the Netherlands on June 6 and France in Bordeaux on June 9
