Aberdeen is considering Benjamin Siegrist as a successor for current stopper Kelle Roos. The huge Dutchman is thought to be considering his future options, and as the Dons await the arrival of new manager Jimmy Thelin from Elfsborg in Sweden’s top tier, talks with Roos remain inconclusive as his contract expires in June.

Siegrist, who was signed as a free agent by Australian Ange Postecoglou in the summer transfer window of 2020, has hardly been seen in Celtic colours and appears to be behind Joe Hart and now Scott Bain in the pecking order. For whatever reason, he hasn’t been a fan favorite, and he’s definitely at a disadvantage when competing against Bain due to the homegrown players rule that applies to UEFA registration each year.
