Philippe Clement said last month that Rangers are optimistic they can work out a deal for the 30-year-old’s renewal.

According to Sabah and Fotomaç, that hasn’t happened yet, and the Turkish team will intervene to sign the Rangers midfield player.

Sabah claims to have an agreement for Borna Barišić of the Rangers to sign as a free agent in the summer, and they now wish to sign his Ibrox colleague.

After Philippe Clement’s team made a bid to extend Lundstram’s contract, Trabzonspor decided against moving forward with the acquisition. He “decided to leave” Rangers in the next window after the two were unable to come to an understanding.

The Turkish team will thus present the Rangers player with a new offer.

Additionally, according to Fotomaç, Trabzonspor attempted earlier but was unsuccessful as the Ibrox club made a counter bid to keep Lundstram.

After some time, the club intervened when the Englishman was unable to reach an agreement with Philippe Clement’s team. The Rangers player will get a fresh offer after receiving permission from Trabzonspor’s technical leaders.

Trabzonspor is allegedly trying to “accelerate contacts” with Lundstram in order to reach a deal.
