(Louisville, Kentucky) Over 100 warehouse workers at Sysco Louisville have easily ratified Kentucky’s first Teamsters contract. The new four-year deal includes greater safety standards, better working conditions, more paid time off, and significant compensation increases, with some
members receiving 29% raises.
“Sysco’s frantic attempt to drag their feet failed with the Kentucky Teamsters. Our people were resilient and motivated to strike a deal. “They never gave up or backed down,” stated Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman. “Sysco should know by now that Teamsters aren’t kidding around, whether in Louisville or anywhere else. We will do whatever it takes to safeguard our members and secure the contracts they deserve.”
