After an incredibly entertaining walk-off triumph in the tenth inning that may prove to be a mirage, Max Fried will look to put his horrific first appearance of the season behind him and help the team win as Spencer Strider’s short and medium-term availability is uncertain.

Fried has every motive in the world to want to enter and dominate this game, as if simply being competitive isn’t enough. He’s in a contract year, had perhaps his worst big league start last time out (although with a massive terrible call that derailed it), and his team’s co-ace is getting an elbow MRI, which is as gloomy as it gets. He’ll face a strong team in the Diamondbacks, but when he’s on, he’s one of the finest pitchers in the world. Let’s hope we get that instead of him struggling with command like he did the last time. Fried’s debut outing ended after less than a complete inning in Philadelphia, giving up three runs and three walks

Max Fried is one of the top pitchers in the game and will be seeking to rebound, while the Braves offense loves to crush and confronts a pitcher that appears to be crushable…this might be a great game to watch for Atlanta fans.
