On Wednesday, the Buffalo Bills traded their standout wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, to the Houston Texans, shocking the NFL. Even though Diggs is a proven pass-catcher, he might not be the last to go to a different zip code given the trade of an All-Pro and multiple Pro Bowler.

Although there is a wealth of wide receiver talent available in this year’s NFL Draft, clubs who are not selected may choose to go the Texans’ way and use the trade market. In light of that, the following three wideouts might be traded before the 2024 season officially begins.

San Francisco 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk

There is considerable cause for the persistent speculations of an Aiyuk trade, even in spite of General Manager John Lynch’s denials.

Aiyuk, who is on his last year of contract after the 49ers selected his fifth-year option, is hoping to be compensated. But San Francisco isn’t willing to pay the wideout’s price, and the two parties are “not close” to reaching an agreement on a contract extension, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Aiyuk and the Niners appear to have similar goals, but it will be difficult to achieve given that the team currently has three players earning more than $20 million combined and quarterback Brock Purdy’s contract is about to expire.
