Matt O’Riley on his future at Celtic in the midst of Leeds United transfer rumors: “I’m ready.”

Leeds United is reportedly interested in signing Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley. It was previously reported that the Whites’ summer approach for O’Riley was turned down.

The star of Celtics, Matt O’Riley, has previously discussed his future while there are new rumors that he could join Leeds United.

O’Riley expressed his joy in participating in the Champions League, where he recorded three assists in six group matches, including one against Atletico Madrid, prior to the January transfer window. O’Riley acknowledged that he desired to remain at the top after making the move with success.

“I feel like I’m ready (to go on), but I’m already on a strong squad. I’ve played in the Champions League against a lot of talented teams. It’s difficult to predict what will occur,” said O’Riley.

Since joining Celtic from MK Dons in January 2022, the 23-year-old midfielder has been a notable player. O’Riley, who has contributed 26 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions, has had a noteworthy season because he has won his first Denmark cap and made his Champions League debut.

Leeds were previously touted with a £10m bid for O’Riley last summer while Atletico Madrid saw a bid rejected in January. However, a fresh report from Give Me Sport has claimed that Leeds will be ‘tempted’ to make a new offer for O’Riley, should Daniel Farke’s side achieve promotion to the Premier League.
