Federico Redondo, a midfielder for Argentinos Juniors, has signed with Inter Miami CF. The deal will run through the 2027 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with a 2028 club option. Pending the receipt of his international clearance, the midfielder joins the team as a U22 Initiative player and replaces U22 Initiative player Facundo FarΓ­as due to an injury that ended the season.P-1 Visa and Transfer Certificate (ITC). “We are happy to have Federico join Inter Miami as an exciting young midfield player. The 21-year-old Redondo comes to the Club from Argentinos Juniors, where he trained with the minor teams before making his first flight debut in Argentina in 2022. The defensive midfielder made 58 appearances in all competitions after that, tallying two goals and two assists.The midfielder, who was born in Madrid, Spain, has competed for the Argentina national team at the U-20 and U-23 levels internationally. Notably, Redondo participated in four FIFA U-20 World Cup Argentina 2023 matches with the U-20 team last year. More recently, he played in six CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament matches as the U-23 team qualified for and finished second in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Redondo also scored a goal in the competition.
