Inter Miami CF took on the New York Red Bulls as the rain continued to fall into Red Bull Arena. The performance must go on even though both squads were missing parts due to injuries and overseas duty. New York defeated Miami for their second home shutout of the season with to three goals from Lewis Morgan and Wiki Carmona’s first goal of the 2024 cam

Lewis Morgan, a midfielder from Scotland, has already demonstrated that his recuperation is progressing nicely. He hasn’t played a complete game yet, but he has made the most of his playing time this year. He put in a shift that resulted in three goals in his longest game of the season. Morgan started things off in the third minute, collecting the ball that Dante Vanzeir flicked on and sent it to the far corner of the net. Morgan took a few moments to settle the ball in the pouring rain, which might have allowed Miami to get their bearings. Like in his first goal, his second and third goals were low shots past Miami GK CJ Dos Santos. Nevertheless, Morgan will be the first.
Vanzeir was present for both of Morgan’s goals, and he is also given credit for Wiki Carmona’s first goal of 2024.
In general, RBNY seemed to be the team with greater coherence on the field.
