The Gunners pay Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad an average wage of £120,481-a-week, for a weekly payroll of £3,253,000. Only Manchester United (£198,710,000) and Manchester City (£192,660,000) have a higher annual payroll than Arsenal among all Premier League squads. Deals to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea and Declan Rice from West Ham United in 2023 took Arsenal’s salary list to another level. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have also both signed improved contracts at Emirates Stadium this year in reward for their efforts in north London.

Yet, despite Arsenal having the Premier League’s third-highest payroll in the 2023/24 term, captain Martin Odegaard only has the third-highest wage in north London. Academy product Bukayo Saka also only ranks sixth, while defender Gabriel Magalhaes also shares 14th place.

So, with that in mind, Arsenal Insider has taken a look at the first-team wage bill at Emirates Stadium for the 2023/24 campaign – with all senior player salaries sourced from Capology…Salary per week: £240,000-a/w
Salary per year: £12,480,000
Agreement expires on June 30, 2028.
